Founded by artists,
built for artists.
The Roanoke Valley Arts Collective mission is to end the "Starving Artists" by helping artists start and reform their businesses to be sustainable. The collective aims to build an inclusive network of regional arts, develop programs, workshops, and socials for new and emerging artists, local business owners, and supporting patrons.
Sebastian co-founded RVAC in 2024 alongside Gabrielle after examining the gaps between creative talent and business viability in the Roanoke Valley arts community. As Chief Executive Officer of the Roanoke Valley Arts Collective, Sebastian leads in business development, infrastructure management, partner relations, and sponsorship portfolio.
Gabrielle co-founded RVAC in 2024 alongside Sebastian when examining experience as a small business owner and artist didn't align during the startup phase of her business, resources for entrepreneurs but not for Artpreneurs. As Chief Operations Officer, Gabrielle oversees all operating practices of finance, human resources, membership portfolio, and artist workspace management.
ARTSMARTS is the retail arm of RVAC, providing equipment and supplies that power the RVAC Artists Workspace. Members have access to professional-grade tools to create, experiment, and build their business — without the overhead of owning it all themselves.
The starving artist
stops here.
"We built RVAC because we believe every artist deserves a sustainable creative career — and the community to help them get there."
